Soft tissue varies in electrical resistance. The deeper the tissue, the greater the electrical load it puts on the electrosurgical unit. The V-10 features special low-impedance circuitry that acts like a car’s automatic transmission. Generally the power has to be set only once for the case at hand. Then the instrument’s circuitry takes over, automatically adjusting the power to compensate for tissue variations at the operative site. Therefore, cutting efficiency remains constant throughout the procedure when the electrode penetrates into highly vascularized tissue in the middle of the incision.

- Made out of inert, high temperature delrin resin that stands up to steam autoclaving for 15 minutes at 250° F
- Electrodes, ground plate, and cord may be autoclaved
