The knee protector helps dogs with stifle lameness and joint pain and creates an improved quality of life through surface support. This protector has both an elastic and a stabilizing effect. For example when cruciate ligaments are injured, the dog can be fitted with a protector at the time of diagnosis. The dog will not lose as much muscle mass before the operation, which would not be the case with out the knee protector. The knee protector must be pulled up along the thigh to sit well and remain in place.
