- When the Esophageal ECG Sensor is inserted into the esophagus and positioned over the heart, the distal electrode localizes behind the left ventricle and the middle electrode behind the left atrium. The fourth electrode provides more versatility by enabling you to handle any size patient. The proximal electrode functions as a ground
- For safety purposes, SurgiVet has developed a self-contained box to prevent electrical interference. No exposed alligator clips
- Select Lead II on the ECG monitor and observe the QRS waveform
